Concerts December 2011

The month of December is a particularly Verbier-related affair. Martha Argerich goes on a tour of Europe with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and its Music Director Gábor Takács-Nagy, reprising their very successful collaboration in at the Verbier Festival in 2010, performing the first piano concerto of Dmitri Shostakovich


In this 7-city tour of Germany, Switzerland and Italy, she will be once again partnered by the ridiculously talented French trumpeter David Guerrier - who happens to play not only the trumpet, but the French Horn, tuba, trombone and the violin(!)
Starting at Schloss Elmau in Germany, the tour continues to Luxembourg, Basel, Florence, Modena, and concludes in Perugia.

    Hi! I want to see martha anywhere in europe between december 19 and january 11...will she perform between those dates? please, help me with this! thank you!

    So far, it doesn't look likely that she will be performing between December 19 and January 11. In 2012 Argerich has concerts scheduled from Feburary

    Hola Martha, espero que vengas pronto a Los Angeles, soy un estudiante de música nacido en Buenos Aires pero radicado en LA hace once años, todos los estudiantes del departamento de música de la facultad te tenemos como una gran inspiradora, la mejor de todas...hehehe, Me llamo Fernando y espero que decidas incluir un concierto por estos lares, seria un honor si nos hicieras una visita a nuestra escuela algún día y tomarnos algunos mates... Te deseo lo mejor en estas fiestas y otro año de muchos éxitos... Saludos y abrazos...
