Progetto Martha Argerich June 2012

The Progetto Martha Argerich is 10 years old! For the 11th edition of the Swiss festival, the programming yet again an eclectic mix of the familiar with the unusual.



This summer Argerich adds a rarely-heard sonata for 8 hands by Smetana to her repertoire. And fans will be also thrilled to hear her bring back the Mozart C major concerto, which she recently performed with Claudio Abbado earlier this year. She also will partnered by the fabulous Portuguese pianist Maria João Pires, in a performance of Mozart's D major sonata for two pianos.

    Hi There,

    You can now listen to a couple of the radio recordings of the Progetto Martha Argerich 2012 online (15 June 2012, 20 June 2012 and tomorrow also 25 June 2012).

    Also you can listen to a couple legendary radio-archive recordings from Dutch National Radio. 1978 an d1979 cocnertgebouw recital amongst other things. Enjoy.
