


In July she will make her début in the city with her friend Gábor Takács-Nagy and his Manchester Camerata, playing the Shostakovich Concerto for Piano and Trumpet. For this one-off event at the Manchester International Festival - during which acclaimed actor Kenneth Branagh makes a long-awaited return to Shakespeare in a sold-out production of Macbeth - French trumpeter David Guerrier will once again be sharing the stage with Argerich and Co.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to point out that Martha will also perform in next November 8th-11th with Gábor Takács-Nagy and the Budapest Festival Orchestra. They will play a Liszt concerto (I guess it'll be the first one) in the Bela Bartok Natioan Concert Hall, Budapest. Though I didn't find any other support to the happening of the event, it's noted in Gábor Takács-Nagy's website: http://gabortakacsnagy.com/2013-2/
Argerich has changed the concerto to Beethoven 1....
