Happy new year! Martha Argerich is scheduled to appear in three concerts in January. On 23 January she will partner Evgeny Kissin in four-hand piano repertoire by Mozart and Lutoslawski in Paris.
Afterwards, performing the Shostakovich concerto No. 1 with the Kremerata Baltica and its founder Gidon Kremer, she will take the piece on tour with the same group to various cities in Europe. The tour begins in Brussels on 25 January, then Paris will get to see the K-team two days later. Sergei Nakariakov joins Argerich on trumpet.

  1. About Brussels:

Unfortunately the program chosen by Kremer for the 1st part was not everybody's taste, too "experimental". But the 2nd part with Martha was excellent. The Shostakovich was simply mind blowing!

  2. Agree too...

I was in Salle Pleyel, Paris, January 27th.
Martha definitely owns Shostakovich N 1.
BACH's pieces originally intended for keyboard, arranged for strings seemed just a funny and relaxing game for Kremerata before a breathe taking one with Martha.

  3. Hello

I am a great admirer or Martha Argerich. I would like to ask when she will have more concerts in London, because the Prokofiev 3 is already sold out...

    Thank you
